Sakari adore fouiller dans la maison de sa grand-mère, mais elle ignore toujours ce qui se cache dans le panier tressé que sa Nukumi garde au grenier. Et puis, un jour, elle voit sa Nukumi en larmes, un album photos à la main. Dans l'album, un poème et des photos que Sakari n'a jamais vues avant permettent à l'ainée de partager l'histoire de sa jeune sœur. Celle-ci a disparu après peu après avoir reçu son diplôme de l'école secondaire. Sakari va permettre à sa Nukumi de se libérer d'un lourd secret lourd et à l'esprit de la jeune femme disparue de s'envoler en paix. Cet album, en français, en anglais et en mi'kmaq, est une excellente introduction à la journée de la robe rouge qui a pour but la sensibilisation aux femmes et aux filles autochtones disparues ou assassinées. |
